Our surveying division has recently acquired a new client! Having provided a reinspection survey to their large and challenging premises, Merryhill is going a step further and providing a consultancy service to help them better manage their asbestos.
The site is a single building, divided into sections comprising industrial machinery and commercial offices. The industrial plant is primarily powered by steam and there are a number of areas within the site that contain a number of asbestos-containing materials.
Highlighted in the report were a number of areas which required remedial action as soon as possible, these are now scheduled to be remediated early in the New Year. The consultancy service is something the client has utilised to better-understand their asbestos register and budget for any major planned remediation over the coming years.
To-date, the client has been pleased with the service received and is now much more aware of the need to manage their asbestos. The client has big plans for the site and removing asbestos as the building is refurbished is a top priority.
