Asbestos Surveying, Asbestos Sampling and Asbestos Consultancy Division

Merryhill Asbestos Testing and Consulting (MATAC) is the company’s asbestos surveying, asbestos sampling and asbestos consultancy division.

We are UKAS accredited and carry out asbestos surveys, under the guidance of the Health & Safety Executive’s HSG264 guidelines for surveying, sampling and assessing asbestos containing materials.

Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM)

Asbestos-containing materials (ACM) are either known to contain asbestos, or are presumed to contain asbestos.

The purpose of surveying is to make an assessment.

To find asbestos-containing materials and record what it is, where it is and how much there is.
To record how accessible it is, its condition, and any surface treatment.
To record the asbestos type, by sampling or by presuming.
